Very nice there you can eat swim relax
We hiked to the lake and stopped at the cafe.
The most beautiful place of our vacation. Great hike up and a simply great piece of earth.
Congratulations on this top service. A dream place
The Freibergsee a romantic mountain lake. Above all the ski flying hill. You have to let the hill and the fantastic view work on you
A wonderful place to linger and the ski jump is a real highlight for tingling your stomach
On a sunny day and after a hike, you can enjoy your coffee or cold drink here in the restaurant on the terrace. Wonderful view of the lake, the mountains and the ski jump.
The Freibergsee is a worthwhile excursion destination in Oberstdorf and the natural pool is a wonderful gem there. The lake water is just wonderful. There is not often something like that, really a bathing experience, pure nature, meadow and changing rooms nostalgically simple, but very nice, a place of well-being. Just as great and comparable to the moor swimming pool in Reichenbach and the mud pool in Oberstdorf. We are grateful for that
Very nice natural bathroom, entry is a bit hearty but well, you have to pay for loungers. We were on 08/29/2020, we were still lucky, the weather cooperated, but we also heard that people had to queue for up to 2 hours and were then turned away at the entrance because the bathroom was overcrowded. Therefore come early or inform in advance. Otherwise really nice to cool off.
The lake is beautiful, great round to go for a walk. Unfortunately, the terrace was overcrowded, so we decided on a liver loaf from the kiosk, had to wait over half an hour for it and then the bread was rock hard and inedible, a straight 6 minus
Very nice to take a break
Unfortunately very full and the queue is long. Also very expensive. Apart from that, it's great
Very nice swimming pool on the lake. All in all, it is getting a bit old and there is actually not so much possible for children apart from swimming. The view compensates anyway! A star deduction for comparatively high admission prices ... No family card possible.
Getting there is exhausting but very worthwhile. Idyllic location. Eat and drink well.
Beautiful swimming lake ... absolutely recommendable. Surrounded by mountains and forest.
You can go swimming there and lie on the sunbathing lawn, you can borrow umbrellas cheaply. Only I think it's a shame that after everything has been redone, the diving platform is no longer there and there is no new one either.
A very nice area where you can relax. Everything was clean and well maintained. The circular route can only be recommended, lots of beautiful corners to discover.
Top ???
Good food, nice and despite the Corona rules quite fast service. Sufficient space on the terrace
Walk up on foot (about 1 hour is a bit steep uphill) at the top follow signs for Freibergsee follow. The outdoor pool at the lake costs 3 € admission. The lake is great for swimming (but deep!) And a welcome cooling after running up. And this view - to fall in love beautiful!
its a nice place i really really like it
Beautiful place just a 20 minute walk from ski jump station. Clean, you can rent umbrellas and sun chairs. Admission for adults around 4 euros. There is a separate pool for kids. Water is clean. Restaurant very close,so you can eat delicious food or have a drink.
For low season we were already the second time at the Freibergsee. An April three years ago: wonderful weather, paddle boating and a short jump into the damn cool wet. Today in April with fog and ice. So beautiful - and definitely always worth a visit. In the restaurant we were served super friendly, the food was really delicious and the roof terrace is a dream. If we are in the Allgäu again, we will come back. :)
Fab as always
The place is magical. It's a perfect getaway for people who loves trekking, hiking and swimming.
Beautiful lake in the forest. The lake in general is really nice, but you need to walk from the parking through the forest with uphills. The beach area is also nice. You need to pay a fee for the entrance. Dogs are not allowed there. Cozy cafe with food and drinks outside the beach area. If you are traveling with a dog - you could find the place to swim a bit further by the coast.
